Dr. K. Heather Koth, founder and owner of Intown Professional Counseling, is a licensed professional counselor and clinical supervisor specializing in mindfulness, Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Radically Open DBT (RO DBT). She works with adults and adolescents in the treatment of food challenges, body image issues, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, disorders of over control, and anxiety and depression. Her approach to therapy includes mindfulness and somatic based practices, behavioral approaches and skill development. She creates a safe, collaborative space for growth and healing. Dr. Koth offers both individual and group therapy and supervision and consulting for therapists. She is a certified yoga teacher and is an adjunct professor and speaker who is passionate about helping others to develop meaningful connections with themselves and others and improve their overall wellbeing.
Janie Mardis is a senior therapist at Intown and works with individuals, families and couples to develop an increased sense of wellbeing firmly grounded in connectedness with others. She utilizes the modalities of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and is also informed by Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She tailors her interventions to the unique needs of clients given the goals, hopes, and challenges they present.
Camille Brust is an associate professional counselor (APC) with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. She specializes in working with adolescents and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. Camille is a compassionate guide for those with neurodivergent challenges. She provides empathetic guidance and support to help clients with career challenges, anxiety and mood disorders, food and body image issues, and interpersonal relationships. Camille creates a judgment-free space to navigate challenges, build practical communication skills, manage life transitions, and find balance amidst life's rollercoaster. Camille uses mindfulness and DBT approaches along with her experience working in school and mental health settings dedicated to neurodivergent individuals, to help clients facilitate change and improve overall wellbeing and life satisfaction.
Alexandra Caldwell is an associate licensed professional counselor (APC) with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. She received her bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University with a major in psychology and minor in biology. She specializes in working with adults and teens dealing with mood and personality disorders in individual and group therapy sessions. Alexandra creates a safe space for her clients filled with genuineness, warmth, mutual trust, and acceptance. She uses mindfulness and DBT approaches to help clients facilitate change through identifying and processing emotions, and assists them in recognizing and changing unhelpful ways of thinking to improve their relationships with others and with themselves.
Eric Irish is an associate professional counselor that specializes in working with adults, teens and couples dealing with feelings of overwhelm and hopelessness in life and in relationships. Eric helps client improve communication, improve the ability to regulate emotions, and increase coping skills, assisting clients to move through trauma, as well as help those suffering from depression and anxiety. Eric is trained in trauma-informed therapy, and uses ACT and DBT therapeutic approaches in his work. He has worked at both inpatient and outpatient setting for adults and adolescents which has given him the skills to help you and your teen or partner with the changes you are working towards.
Shivali Patel is an associate professional counselor experienced in substance use counseling with both adolescents and adults. She also specializes in grief, trauma, anxiety and depression disorders, using mindfulness and reality therapy to help clients to develop healthy coping skills. She supports clients in developing healthy communication, dealing with grief, and working through childhood traumas in order to lead a healthier lifestyle and improve relationships with themselves and others. Shivali obtained her bachelor’s in psychology from University of Georgia and her Master’s from Mercer University and has interned and worked in both patient and out patient recovery programs.
